The Mushroom Mantra is an explorative project which looks into the aesthetics of interaction of a product for a wake up experience. We experimented with multisensorial experiences, as seen in our products design. Firstly, the soft cap of the mushroom invites users to touch or hug it. Upon closer interaction, the users may discover it contains a soothing lavender aroma, which may help them relax before they go to sleep. In the morning, the Mushroom generates a soft hum to gently wake up the user. This can be switched off by spinning the mushroom's cap, which activates a built in grinder that releases ground coffee "spores". This provides a grinding tactile feedback, whilst wafting a coffee aroma to wake them up.
